Carrie, I just found your blog, and have enjoyed reading all your posts, particularly those about your "new" house adventure. My husband and I have spend the last year renovating and adding on to a 100+ year old house we moved to our property in central Texas. We have a home on the Texas Gulf Coast, but this will be our retirement home. We stayed in a 28 foot travel trailer next to our "new" house until it was "livable." That meant walls, electricity, plumbing and air conditioning!! So I can clearly understand what you are going through right now -- the anticipation, the excitement with each new accomplishment, the fatigue. What a great journey you are both sharing! Thanks for taking us along with you!! I look forward to following your progress!
