~ Red Gingham Pillow ~

When I was decorating throughout our home for the holiday season,
I needed a quick and easy pop of red for our bedroom.

{Red Gingham Pillow}

Now, it's been a little while since I had the sewing machine out....
But, I picked up this red & white gingham fabric at Hobby Lobby for $4.99/yd.
I only needed 1 yard and I managed to whip up 2 lumbar pillow covers in no time.

I think they added that simple touch of holiday to our bedroom.
I've always wanted to make pillows and maybe even sell my pillows someday.
Well...I have sold a few at Market Days in LeClaire before....see them here.
I think this little project has motivated me to get back to making some more pillows.
I intended on working on these last year.
But my health took a lead role with my back issues and surgery.

Now that I am finally past all that!
Time to get back to business!
Hopefully you will be able to see some more pillows this Spring here on the ol blog.

  3. Your pillows are lovely, I have several that I recover at whim, I made a polk-dotted red one this summer that I am using in my bedroom. The pop of red is just what a bedroom needs, I think!

  6. I have just recently gotten into making pillows and don't know what took me so long! I love this idea of yours to use red/white gingham! Very fresh and bright, without being too overpowering & not just a Christmas pillow either.
